We're on the side of the highway on Donald Ross Road. Well, there you go, man. I'm telling you, you know, that is one of the good wonders of technology is the ability to be able to do that kind of thing. We did several remote things, one from or two from the hotel and one from an undisclosed location, as we addressed. Yeah, well, because we had been told, actually, they moved the event because of threats of violence against those that were going to be in attendance. And so they actually bust people over to our undisclosed location, and we had the event there. It was great. Absolutely great.
And you can find it at my social media sites. Yeah, one time we were evacuated on beach and gone to Orlando. We stayed at one of the Disney hotels, right out of a hurricane. And I had a webinar to teach that night and terrible cell reception in the hotel room. I was standing in the hallway, getting whipped with wind and rain. And I think, oh, I wish I had a nice, warm studio somewhere to do this from. And I thought, I do, down the parking lot.
So I went out to the parking lot, I put my notes on the steering wheel of my Jeep Wagoneer, and I had a really great webinar. The studio can be wherever you have a microphone and a big mouth person, right? There you go. There you go. Absolutely.
Well, hey, there were a couple of things that I mentioned to you that I think there's an answer to, and I think the chosen goal is part of that answer. But one of those has to do with, under the Democrats' reconciliation bill. And folks, what we're talking about is, I think it's $3.5 trillion. And they're doing this as what they call a budgetary reconciliation. In other words, they hadn't gone far enough into debt, Tom, and so they needed to go a little further into debt. But they have this special process.
And with this reconciliation, then they can add a whole bunch of whacked out crazy stuff. And then if you vote no on it, then, oh, well, you're cutting off funding, and they'll pick something, some decent thing that they highlight. And they say, well, you're cutting off funding for this.
Well, actually, we're saying no, we don't want you to do this. And the headline at OAN kind of says it, IRS to monitor transactions of all accounts over $600. Somebody could look at that, Tom, and say, oh, that's hyperbole. I mean, there's no way.
Really, they're going to really monitor. But that is exactly what is being proposed. Well, Patrick, I think you're being a little bit hard on this. First of all, it's really a $5 trillion package, because the previous one or the two are tied together. But I think you're being a little overcritical, because I've analyzed it. And of all the things that are in the two packages together, there are some, as you said, some good things, and some things that would benefit the country.
And they added to a total of 2% of the $5 trillion. So let's not be too hard on it. But basically, it's all a bunch of, how can we say it on the radio, bull hockey.
All right. We all know what infrastructure is. It's roads, it's broadband, it's bridges, and so on. They want to make most of this about what they call human infrastructure, which includes giving even more money to illegal immigrants than, we could go down the list, but the usual laundry list of climate change is infrastructure now. And the whole world is going to fall apart if we don't pass this bill. So if you're against any part of it, then you're a racist, you're a misogynist, you're a nationalist.
Ooh, how horrible. You know, love your nation. Put your nation first.
You're trying to, everybody's trying to brush, put your nation first. You're really familiar, because when Obama was, the Obamacare Act, by one vote by the way, he had put a provision there that if you bought or sold $600 or more, bought or sold, not just, you know, like usually you'll get a 1099 if you receive money for something. But it both was. $600. Well, back then you couldn't even buy half an ounce of gold for $600. So if you had any inclination to protect your family from the crash that's coming, and you had any precious metal, it had to be reported to the government. Well, fortunately, most of the people in this party own gold, and at least the ones up in the leadership, and they squashed it. They took it out of the bill.
But that was the same number. Now, in this case, it's even, I don't know if it can be worse than allowing people to own real money, because what we have in our pockets is not money. It's expensive full of paper. But if anything can be worse than that, it would be the government monitoring every time you spend any money. Because it's not just monitoring if they spend over $600.
If you have over $600, they can monitor everything you do to buy a Starbucks. We keep saying this is the greatest assault on our personal freedom. We can't say that anymore because they just keep coming.
So all we can say is this is the latest greatest assault on our personal freedom. Well, and if you're thinking about mitigating your potential damages that could come out of a potential failing of the U.S. dollar, and we'll talk about that in our next segment as we close this out. Because we want to talk about the implications of the Afghanistan collapse and the Taliban turning that into an Islamic emirate, and then what does that mean relative now to the Saudi Arabia and what the Biden administration is doing with that relationship because there is connectivity there, and the Saudis turning to the Russians now, and the potentiality that the American currency as the backup currency becomes even more in peril.
We can't say that it's absolutely a conclusion that the petrol dollar goes away, but it certainly seems, based on a number of other experts that I've talked to, Dr. Tom, that that is looking more and more likely.
