This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth is. I can't hide it.

Back and honey. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind.

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. It's the most wonderful time of the year. The most wonderful verses of the year. That's what we're talking about. The most wonderful verses of the season today on Truth Talk Live.

As you know, there's a live show. We need to hear from you. Like, when you think of this time of year, when you're trying to find Christmas, like Cindy Lou Who is saying, where are you, Christmas? What verse, what's your go-to? 866-348-7884.

866-348-7884. What makes. That feel like Christmas to you. What is that verse? What is that word of God telling you?

about Christmas as you might not be shocked to know that I have with me Doctor Date the Word with thirty one, twenty five, one hundred and seven verses prepared for this occasion. But that's not near as meaningful. No, it's extremely meaningful, but I would love to hear yours. I really, really, and he would too. 866-348-7884.

And this is especially wonderful time of the year for Date the Word because the Date the Word calendar is out. Yes. And it. 2026. With 365 verses.

Shocker. Yes. One for every day that matches the date. How about that? Yes.

And often the date that's on the calendar is a different verse that he happens to choose from his daily broadcast or his daily podcast. But today is simple. You know, when you think of Christmas, what verse comes to your mind and why? And why is that special to you? We would, oh, it would mean so much to us to hear.

866-348-7884. And Just as a special Christmas bonus this time of year, we're going to give you a date-the-word calendar. Everyone that calls in with their verse today, we want to be very gracious and give you, and this calendar is so outstanding: 866-348-7884. And my producer's like, Robbie, don't you think you ought to pull up the phone app? Yeah, because we got.

We have Buckman. The, the one, the only, the spectacular is in Dayton, Ohio. How are you doing, my friend? You're on Truth Talk Live. Robbie, I absolutely love you, brother.

I can't wait to hug you at some point. I'll make my way to the Carolinas, and I'm going to come specifically to Truth Talk headquarters. Please. Mainly just to give you a hug, bro. All right.

That would be fun. Yeah. What what have you I know you you're probably loaded for bear with a verse that I I'm excited to hear, my friend. I don't know which one I should pick, Robbie, to be honest with you. I really don't.

But I'm going to have to give you this one. And, brother, you know that the address is better than I. I'm still driving in the bus mobile. Um and So I hate to say this. It's not a Christmas verse.

Robbie, it's an Easter verse. Oh, wonderful. Is that okay? Yeah, because, you know, the thing about. The thing about Christmas is Jesus came fully wrapped.

Yes. Oh, you know what I like to say, Robbie? You know what I like to say. The best Christmas gift was never in a shiny, nicely wrapped box. but a smelly stable.

In swaddling clothes, he was wrapped. And he was wrapped once again at Easter, right? And so what's your Easter first? What's the burst? Brother Robbie, that says he is not here.

For he has risen. Oh my gosh, that's so powerful to me. Yeah. Oh, he is not here, ladies and gentlemen. He's not dead anymore.

He's alive. He's the only God of all religions that got up from death. Moses is dead. Abraham's dead. Muhammad's dead.

But Jesus. got up from the grave Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I got to tell you, Bucksford, I got to tell you this. I have to tell you this.

I would be so remiss if I didn't tell you this. I think it's going to bless all of our listeners.

So. Right out a week ago today, it was actually... A week ago last Sunday, I was standing at the garden tomb with none other than. Dr. Date, the word Carson himself.

So we're in Israel, we're at the Garden of Tomb, and we are taking communion. With a thousand other pastors and Christians. How did you guys stand? I would have been on my face. How did you do that?

Wow. Go ahead, Rob. I'm sorry. But here comes the part you're going to love. You're going to love this.

They they use these little olive wood Cups to take communion, and they're just perfect for that particular size. And After we drank it, Dr. Carson... Shared this most profound idea that I think every time I take communion for the rest of my life, and you will after you hear this. think about.

So share, Doc. You look into the cup. After you've drank, take and drink in remembrance of me. Then you look into the cup. And you see The cup is Empty.

The cup is empty. And I tell everybody with me, I tell everybody with me, now look over your shoulder at the empty tomb. And you can see what was right there. There was. There it was.

You can't see it, but Busman's arm holding the steering wheel of the bus mobile is full of goosebumps. Yeah. Isn't that awesome? Isn't that wow, guys? And I got to tell you that we had this moment.

And it's funny that you mentioned a hug because Dr. Carson was a little bit different area than I was, but he came down and after that moment and we hugged. It was a.

Something I will remember for the rest of my life. Like, there we were. Because that was a special literally at the tomb. And I could look, and Dr. Carson knows this where I was seated, the tomb was right to my left.

Matter of fact, Bucksman, I got a picture of Robbie gazing at the tomb. I thought, I just said, Peter or John, Dr. Carson. Yeah, I didn't go in. I like Peter.

He was like John. He ran in the thing. Wow. That is so powerful. But this is so true.

You can't think about Christmas. without thinking about across And thinking about an empty tomb. He did not come to rule and reign this time. He came to die. And it is a great reminder.

It's a tremendous Christmas verse to be reminded that He's not here. He is risen. Oh, wow, guys. See, I'm starting to well up. I'm serious.

I'm starting to cry. And it's raining in Southwest Ohio. It's already raining in Southwest Ohio. I got to be able to see. All right.

All right. Well, thank you. You made my day. Make sure you leave your address. With the money.

Yeah, we're going to put you back on hold so that he can get your address. And that would be great. We will send you that calendar. It is a treasure, man. I'm telling you, these calendars.

I would love to have it, guys. It'll go in a prominent place in the bus clear. All right. God bless you, my friend. All right.

I love you guys. Love you, too. Merry Christmas. Oh, wait. Bye-bye, guys.

Bye-bye. Yep. I'll hold on. All right. 866.

The number to call in, you got to get the calendar. But more than that, we want to hear your verse. We want to share in that amazing revelation that you've received. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884.

You know, these verses run through your head as you just. begin to You know, meditate on it and become more and more real, and every year, God. You know, I I've I've read this here that The Word of God is like something that's continuing to grow. And as you glean more from it, as you read more, you water it, and you feel, you know, and every time you come through, you got a new cycle, and it's like a cycle that you're able to harvest stuff that so far hadn't been ripe in your life. But now you've reached a new point in your life, and you read that old verse and you see things you've never seen before.

It comes to life for you. Bring it to life for us. Share it with us. 866-348-7884. It is the most wonderful verses of the season we're doing today on Truth Talk Live.

Andy Williams has got nothing on Dr. Carson, I'm telling you. He might have a voice, just saying. Truth Talk Live. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

It's the most wonderful time of the season. It is the most wonderful verses of the season today on Truth Talk Live. The most wonderful. Season's in. How about a little bit more of Truth Talk Live music?

Because we're excited to share all this. I would love to know what is your. Go to Christmas Verse 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. Got Dr.

Date the word Carson with me here to help. And we got Rachel also in Ohio.

So, Rachel, I am so excited that you called in today. What have you got for us?

Well, I just got off work, so I missed the Christmas part of the verse. I didn't hear that. But one of my favorite verses is John three sixteen. If there ever was a Christmas verse, that I mean Okay, yeah, I mean what you think about it Yeah. I feel like there's so many people.

So, so many people know John 3:16, and I feel like sometimes when a verse gets used a lot, the meaning can get lost. And man, what a verse. I I couldn't imagine giving up my child and having a perfect child and all the things that were was given to us and the grace. And just it's just such a beautiful verse, and I love it so much. Yeah, and that's, you know, to me, that points to Rachel why that is such a Christmas verse.

Because Verse 17. Folllows that up with God did not send his son. into the world to condemn the world. but to save the world through him. He sent him.

That's all about Christmas. Yeah, he's sent him and and and again to die. Right. And knowing full well. Um.

What all that involved, but you couldn't be more right, Rachel, and I am with you. That is a um I had to tell this story because it's so amazing to me. I I did a funeral Um two years ago. on March the 16th. which you may know is 316.

And this particular funeral Unfortunately or fortunately, however God had it in his providence, was for a young man that his family, for the most part, Pretty much atheists. I mean, pretty much not believers. Pretty much. Robbie, we'll let you speak. We want you to speak because you're my dad's best friend, et cetera, et cetera.

But can you please leave out any. For religious reasons. Oh no. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, no.

That was that was that was the setup. But I said, Well, you know, I gotta be me. I'm just Robbie. You know, you you you ask me and it's gonna be me. And they all Robbie just You know, mind what we're you know, okay.

All right, so Huh. I start out with Right? They said, do you I just said, Do you think it's any coincidence do you do that that Greg you all planned his funeral, which you it was it had been some time since his death, but so they had time to have it on any date they wanted to have it. And I said, Do you think it's any coincidence? that you happen to plan.

Okay. Today? Which is 316. Which is for God so loved the world and I just laid it out there, right?

Well That the man whose whose service I was doing, it was his nephew, came up afterwards. And said, Robbie, I need a Bible where I can read that verse. Yeah. I'm serious. Um Essentially, just right to the whole family through this one Bible that later, you know, he came to Christ and as a result, you know, started spreading it to the others.

And it was just, but it all happened because God orchestrated it on 316.

So anytime I think of 316, I can't help Rachel but think of that. Which God did. Yeah. Well, and it gets you you know, it it gets people through the pain. If you if you go to God, any pain that you've been through, you go to God and um Man, he'll he brings heaven to earth.

You know, because of perspective. Uh y the more you become like him, the more you learn from him. Um, you really can't have heaven on earth because things just don't affect you like they do. You know, when you're Yes. Not loving him and not understanding his teachings, he brings you so much peace to this world.

I don't have to wait till heaven. You know, people don't have to wait till heaven, they can have such peace here. Oh, it's so beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. You're going to enjoy your date-the word calendar, and I'm just going to guess that 3:16 might.

I'm not gonna put it. Be your favorite bird. Is it Doc this year? You know I had. Did you do 316?

Is John 316?

Okay, sir. Every year, March 316, pretty much stays.

Now, there are some great 316 verses. But it's just everybody wants to see on their calendar three John 3:16. And so you'll be receiving that too. We're going to put you on a hold, Rachel. And I can't tell you what it means for your call today to us.

We just love it. And I love that verse. I really do.

So. Well, I can't tell you what it means for what you guys do. I know there's people that are you're you know you're educating. I listen to them call in and and you you teach you know you teach real things and and and get people over to You know, the spiritual world, the spiritual realm, and really get people safe.

So that's what we're supposed to do as Christians, and you guys do a very good job.

So thank you for always having good stuff on the radio for me to listen to in the morning and after I get off work. And I'm so grateful for the station. Oh, thank you, Rachel. We are grateful for you. God bless you.

You have an amazing season. Have a very Merry Christmas, Rachel. Yes. And so is as you're listening to this right now. I bet you got a verse that's popping up in your mind.

Not only that, but you probably are wanting this calendar.

So you've got to call us. 866-348-7884-866-3686. 348-7884 is the number to call in and share. And again, everybody that does that today is going to get, and how timely to get your date-the word calendar actually before 2026 even starts. What a treasure that's going to be, right?

And I sure hope when they get the calendar, one of the first things they'll do is go look at the verse for their birthday. And see what verse is there. Speaking of those, they're one of the somebody's is coming up pretty quick. And does he know his own birthday verse?

Well I better, huh? And you know, it was interesting what you just said. I didn't know what my birthday verse was. I never thought about it. And so now I'm doing this.

And I go, here's 1 Samuel 12, 23. And Samuel says, God forbid that I should sit against him in ceasing to pray for you. and to teach you the good and right way. And all of a sudden, I'm looking at this Bible verse going, that's what my life has been about, praying for people and teaching them, discipling them. All my days there at Liberty, that was my main responsibility, developing prayer leaders, teaching them how to pray, and developing disciple makers.

And yeah, so 1 Samuel 12, 23 is my Christmas, is my birthday verse. And Christmas Eve Eve verse, because he was born on Christmas Eve Eve. Just saying. Christmas Eve Eve. I was the best Christmas present my mom ever got.

Now we'll find out if my sisters are listening because they'll call in to dispute that. 866-3, which we would love to hear from your sisters. 866-348-7884 is the number to call in and share yours. 866-348-7884. And, you know.

Man, there are so many wonderful ones.

So many wonderful ones. And so you picked out 25 for us. And so I'm I'm curious of the twenty five, what was the twenty fifth? Verse on the doctor date, the word Carson hit parade.

Well, you go right to Matthew 1:25. And it says, And he did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn son. And He called his name Jesus. He did not. Joseph Yeshua because he's going to save people from their sins, which is Matthew 1.21.

There you go. Before Christmas Day. You name the baby when the baby is born.

Well, we'll be right back. We got other calls. 866-348-7884. 866-34TRU. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

It's the most wonderful time of the year. The most wonderful verses of the season today on Christian Car Guy's show. I'm just going to say Christian Car Guy. It's a true talk live. You are the doctor of Christian Car Guy department.

My brain just checked out to lunch for a minute. It's Truth Talk Live. It's not Saturday morning. It's Thursday afternoon. And we need to know your verses of...

What brings Christmas home to you? 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. We would love, love, love to hear it. We got Daniel is in Jacksonville, Florida.

Daniel, you're on Truth Talk Live. You're not on Christian Cargo. I am great. I am apparently slipping at my old age. That's okay.

It comes with experience.

So, Daniel, what have you got for us?

Well, I don't really know if this is characterized as a Christmas verse, but. This one, I love it.

so much if it gets right gets right at me and it's um Second Corinthians four thirteen. And it says, since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written. I believe And so I spoke. Wow. you know Hold on a sec.

We also believed. And so we also speak That would always get me.

Sorry. No, I love it. I absolutely love it that We believe, and so we, in other words, that emotion is telling us that the spirit is there, right? We're supposed to tell people about them, we're supposed to tell them. what he does for us, we're supposed to tell him Just everything about him and how Wonderful, he is, and how great he can make your life.

I mean, it's.

Well, you go to verse 14. Don't want to uh acknowledge it, you know. It just amazes me. I love it. I do too.

Well, Daniel, you follow that up with verse 14 of what he said. You know, we also believe and we also spoke. Knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and bring us with you. into his presence. Right.

That's Christmas, the component of Emmanuel, God with us, and one day we're going to be with God. I love it. Yeah, it's it's a great one. I lo I love that one and I uh I I I j I read that one like almost every single day.

So I love that one. Oh, I I absolutely love it, Daniel. I would just comment, and I don't I'm interested in what Dr. Carson may think or you may think about what I'm going to say, is that as a pastor, Mm-hmm. Um You know, God gives you...

Something he wants you to preach on, right? In a very specific You know, verse like what you just shared with us, but something inside that verse that's the message that he has for your congregation. And it's based on the prayers of the congregation, all that stuff.

Well, quite often, just the way that my church is organized, I don't know what they're going to sing until they sing it, right? It's just not we don't have a program or anything like that. Here they come and they're going to sing a song actually right before the sermon. And if you don't think it's the same spirit, it absolutely blows me away how many times they sing something that is like if you went to try to pick out something that would match the sermon, you couldn't do it. But the spirit does it because the same spirit that was teaching you about what insight God wanted to share was teaching the worship leader.

Yeah. You know, a similar message? Or how many times are that you come to somebody with something you've been thinking and they've been studying something along the same line, especially people that you're close to? Have you ever noticed that, Daniel?

Okay. Yeah, right. You guys are kinda like on the you know Like, hey, I was thinking that exact same thing, or maybe not, but it's like it's along the same thing, and you guys just. That's why, you know, you have to You know, you have to fellowship. You have to.

share, you have to, you know, you have to speak and you have to tell. you know Your close friends, your family, your friends, you have to speak and you have to. Fellowship with each other and it's helping each other. You know, you have to speak and And and get it out, and it it he'll hear you. I mean, he he's gonna hear you.

Oh, it's so absolutely true, you know. And I got to tell you, it's kind of funny, Daniel, that recently. You know, I love to to When I pray in the morning, thank God for a lot of things. And I bet you do too. You know, it's just one of my things to be grateful.

And so here recently, I've been really grateful for Adam and Eve. Right, if Because I mean, for you and me both, there are great, great, great, great, great, great. I'm like, man, God, just thank you for Adam and Eve. Like, if it weren't for them, you know, there wouldn't be and like they're my family. And as I began to think about those things, like.

We really share such a heritage. It's unbelievable. I mean, obviously, we're all related through Noah, and obviously, we're all related through who knows how many thousands of people that we actually have common ancestors. And so the fact that we're related is beyond. Mm.

Right. Well But into the world. You know, and once once you accept him and you accept Christ, you you were connected even more. I mean, it's It's just an incredible journey that that, you know, you have to go through and it's just It's just I mean, I wish there was more words to describe how wonderful it is, but it's just wonderful, you know. And so this morning, this is kind of funny, but maybe you won't think it is.

I don't know.

So this morning I was, you know, I like to just think as I'm praying and I'm like, you know, God. I've thanked you for Adam and Eve and I've thanked you for all these people. I've thanked you for Dr. Carson and tomorrow I'll thank him for Daniel Huff. And I'll say, but you know, I never have thanked you for me.

Like, man, thank you for me. I was just like you know, I hadn't really thought about it, but like if there was no me, then I wouldn't I wouldn't have a chance to enjoy all this stuff.

So I was I was like, man, this is r a real gift. Thank you for me. And I never had done that until You know, the thought just crossed my mind this morning. I thought it was kind of fun.

Well, I never did that, so I'll, if you don't mind, I'll use that tomorrow morning. You do it, Daniel. We're going to put you on hold. We got a date. The word calendar coming your way, my friend.

God bless you and Mary. God bless you, Dale. God, you're doing wonderful work, and thank you for taking my call. Oh, we are thrilled. Believe me, we are thrilled.

So you're listening and you're thinking, I got one, you got one, and you want the calendar too? I know, so you got to call us 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. Have you ever, thank God for you.

Well, you know, I haven't really done it exactly that way, but I'm thankful that. God loves me. Yeah. And that blows my mind that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. And God does have a purpose for my life.

And I need to be finding that purpose and fulfilling that purpose. And um Yeah, when we think about the significance Um of ourselves Um Um It does bring about a different mindset when you're able to say, God, thank you for who I am, the way you've made me, how you want to use me. I'm your vessel. And sometimes we don't like what we are. Don't like the vessel that God is shaping.

and so I like your thought. Lord thank you for me. It was fun. It just was fun. I was just relieved.

You know, he shows me stuff and then I just jump on in with both feet.

Well, I want to know what he's showing you about a Christmas verse, which one just grabs your attention.

Well I I didn't want to steal anybody's that might be thinking about this, but I love, and I've been preaching on what the shepherd said. Right. And I told you that last week I preached on this, and I just can't get it out of my mind. What the angels said. Mm.

that, you know, this this child is going to be. A s a saviour. Who is Christ the Lord?

Now, when you hear that in English, it has a certain ring to it. I understand: a Savior who is Christ the Lord. We've heard it from Charlie Brown, if nobody else, every Christmas. Or Linus. Linus actually is going to say it.

Luke 2:11. But if you'd heard that in Aramaic, or you'd heard it in Hebrew, if you were thinking in Hebrew, what they would have heard. Was Yeshua. Because the word Savior in Hebrew is Yeshua, which is Jesus, is the way so people would translate that, but his name is His identity. He is, Jesus means a Savior in Hebrew.

The words Yeshua is the same thing. And so he is literally his identity. His savior, his identity. And so, what they would have heard is Yeshua Mashiach. In other words, Jesus Christ and the anointed Messiah.

And see, there's only in. the Old Testament, you anoint a high priest, and you anoint a king. That's who gets anointed. And so fascinatingly Jesus is the combo plate, right? He is the high priest and the king, and this anointing that we're talking about.

You see, is bringing the people together under God. That's what a high priest does. In the way of worship. But a king like David, when you think about it with all the worship that he did, you could say Solomon built the temple, but David built the worshipers. What good's a building?

Without the worshipers, and it was David's anointing that brought all twelve tribes together. in worship under God in Jerusalem. I mean, so here was this unbelievable anointing, and so here is this Jesus who's the Savior, which that the word means, Yeshua Meshiach. The last word is add an I. Which means Lord, but even in Greek you'll see that if you trace it back, that that particular form of the word Lord is Adonai.

We'll add an i. Is God But it is also very specifically Jesus, as he would describe in the 110th Psalm. He says, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand until I make the enemy your footsteel.

Well, the word Lord is Yahweh in Hebrew, and so Yahweh said to Adonai. And Jesus quotes this to show the Pharisees that they don't know what they think they know, but literally it's saying that Yahweh said to Jesus. the father said to the son, Sit at my right hand. And so when you see Abraham getting the blessing that he gets, he asks for it from Adonai. In other words, he asked from it, if you think through that completely, from God, but the God in the form of Jesus.

In Genesis. And so when those shepherds heard that, they would have understood that that word Adonai means a lot more than just. Lord.

So what they heard was Yeshua Meshiach had an eye. And again, I don't know exactly the inference of all that, but to me, it's unbelievable.

So we got my good friend Mike is in Ohio. He's got a verse for us, but we need yours and you need this calendar. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. We are looking forward to what you got.

And Doc's got another 24. He hasn't let out yet. We'll be right back. Truth Talk Live. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Uh It's the most wonderful time of the year. The most Wonderful verses of the season today on Truth Talk Live. Which one? Right? Which one just grabs you?

I loved the way Daniel got choked up. Yeah. Yeah. That's what Bible verses should do to us. Right.

'Cause when God speaks, He He talks your heart, right? And when people are are experiencing them in their heart, you know, you that's the stuff, man. And that that that's That's what we prayed, and we prayed before we did the show today, right, Doc? And we sure did. People would feel the need.

to go search out that. That that sense of finding God in His Word. And we're one week now away from Christmas. We've got to really start getting into these scriptures. And if we're going to say Christ is the reason for the season, then how do you saturate your heart with his scriptures?

and let him speak to you. Yeah, speaking of speaking to us, I hear somebody speaking to us from Ohio. He's coming in. His name is Mike. He's calling from Dayton.

Mike, you're on Truth Talk Live. It is the most wonderful verses of the season, and I'm excited to have you on today, Mike.

Well, thank you. I wanted the date-the-work calendar. I can't wait to get that. Oh, you are blessed. I'm going to tell you.

Thank you, Dr. Costen. I'm going to make sure that these are autographed too by the way. I would love to. My verse is Luke 2:8.

Yes. When the angels speak to the shepherds. Yeah. I relate a lot. You know why I relate?

I'm in construction. And I get sawdust all over me, and I sweat, and I stink, and I'm working hard. And my wife says, go away from me when I get home. And so and so I resemble that remark. And so, you know, God came to them.

You know? uh you know just someone that's just uh this a normal person that's taking care of of sheep. Yeah, and they were awake. And they yeah. They were awake.

They they were keeping watch. It's a beautiful. Yeah. And I just yeah, I just felt like I can relate to them and, you know, I c and uh When I hear that, you know, that verse, I just.

Well, let's hear it. God lay it on us. Yeah, God came to me. You know what I mean? He came to.

He came to be born for me.

So you got to tell us the verse, Mike. That's part of the deal. Oh, okay. It's Luke 2:8, you know, the shepherds were living out in the field nearby and coming watch over their flock at night. And the Lord, the angels appeared to them in the great glory.

And I love that great glory part. Mm-hmm. I really do.

God came to them, and He comes to us as an individual person. as a relationship with him. He wanted, he was showing them, I'm here for you. I'm dying, I'm coming to save you. and I want to have a relationship with you guys.

And uh I just love that, you know.

So Yeah. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock. By Night.

Well, I I'll follow yours up, Mike, to say that Um you know, they're going to be people this Christmas. They're going to hear. This Christmas story. And then they'll go right on. doing what they've always been doing.

But the shepherds verse sixteen having heard this, they came with haste They came with haste and found Mary and Joseph and the babe lying in a manger, just as the angels had told them. They responded. And there are so many people, and I hope others who are listening right now don't be like the world and just, okay, it's Christmas again. Let's move on with life. It's over now.

No, let. us come with haste. And like those wise men who will later on come to worship him. and then you present yourself as the greatest president of all. Here am I, Lord now use me.

Um Yeah, the shepherds. These were the least. You know, the last people you would ever thought uh announcement would be made like this would be to the shepherds And that's who God wants to reach. He wants everyone to know it doesn't matter how far, how bad, how dirty you are, He wants to reach you. Yeah.

And those who know me well know that my favorite book in the Bible is The Song of Solomon. In chapter 1, clearly. Clearly, what is The beloved, in other words, the the the church or the the one that's looking for Christ. And what is she in this particular chapter? She is a shepherd, right?

And so as the as the as the Jesus character in the story talks to her, he says, right? If thou knowest not, O fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherd's tents. In other words, They're shepherds. No. And we are, as as his children, interestingly, Shepherds, just like he told Peter, feed my sheep, right?

I mean, that's the deal, and and Your dad, as I recall Mike.

Okay. All those stories I heard of him teaching Sunday school with the, with the, yeah, uh, The slingshot of David and all those things, gathering those guys together. I mean, he, your dad was a shepherd, right? Yeah. And so you've been following those footsteps.

Right. For for a while. Yeah, it's hard to live up to 'em, but uh yeah, I I I I have and You know, you've got to. You've got to have that relationship with God. That's why my go-to verse is, you know.

Um Damn. I'm sorry, my brain is stopping. That's all right. I think we're doing the Christian Car guys show. You're all good.

I appreciate that. You know. But it is just. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. You know, lean not on your own understanding and all your ways.

Acknowledge God. This is what we're doing this season. We're acknowledging him and he'll make your path straight. Um, we're literally saying, Thank you, Lord. We're acknowledging God and saying, Thank you for being born and doing this for us.

And now now I'm going to live my life. According to your will and your and your ways, and I want to surrender my life again to you. That's what the Christmas season means to me.

So, absolutely. Thank you. Thank you. Well, you got the date-the word calendar coming, right? But while we got you on the line, let's see, Doc, you got to hit us with the verse, man.

We haven't heard it yet, but you got to do it. We haven't heard Isaiah 9:6 yet, and I think of all the verses. Um For unto us a child is born. It was Handel's favorite, I know. Yes, Handel's favorite, no question.

This child, that speaks of his humanity. Unto us a son is given. That speaks of his deity. And the government will be upon his shoulder. That's going to be his future.

He's going to be the king of kings. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor.

Some people say wonderful and then counselor, but wonderful counselor, there's nothing too confusing for him. You bring any problem to him. He knows how to resolve it. Wonderful counselor, mighty God. Nothing's too complex for him.

I've got a situation I can handle it. Everlasting Father, He's the Creator of all things. It's like someone putting a car together. They know exactly how every piece works. Nothing too chaotic for him.

And then it says he's the Prince of Peace. And the conflict of conflicts is not the conflicts we have with one another, family, friends, enemies. It's a conflict we have with God. And he's the one who gives us peace with God.

So Isaiah 9, 6, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. If I was gonna put one verse on a billboard, I'd put Isaiah 9, 6. There you go. Just a lot. You know, those of us who There's nothing like hearing Handel's Messiah, right, this time of year.

It's not Christmas till you've heard it. And he shall reign forever and ever. is from uh Revelation 11, 15. Because there's coming a day. He will reign over everything.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. And Revelation eleven is quite the chapter, so you We can measure this from worshipers at the beginning, and he's reigning forever and ever at the end. And so as we head into this most wonderful verses of the year, we got into Isaiah 9, but you got enough time for one more, Doc. You got to hit us hard. Hit us hard.

Well, 1 John 3, 5, we go there and it says, And you know that Jesus came. He was manifested. to take away our sins, and in him there is no sin. And that's always been one of my favorite Christmas verses because he came with that purpose. He was born to die.

That's not a cliché. That's what he was. And listeners, he was born to die for you. And today you can have eternal life by calling on him, believing that he died, was buried, and rose again. You can have everlasting life.

And that is Christmas, right? The most wonderful verse/slash promise that could possibly ever happen.

Well, Check out those Bibles, find your verses, have a great time. We will be back again tomorrow. Mike's week. Truth Talk. Have a great evening.

Mm.
