Five Conditions of Answered Prayer, Part 3

Greetings, friends and new listeners, and welcome to this program of the R.G.

Hardy Ministries. I'm Sharon Notts thanking you for joining us today because we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Today's message by my father, Brother Hardy, is five conditions of answered prayer. This is a subject suited for and needed by every Christian. I believe you will find some answers about your unanswered prayers in today's message, Five Conditions of Answered Prayer.

You meet these five conditions. You pray in the name of Jesus. You don't pray a missed lustful and prayers without knowledge. You're not in the business of awe. Don't ask God to give you an oil well. Just ask Him to give you a cruise that won't run dry. You're not in the grain business.

Never been trained and don't have the understanding. Don't ask God for a grain elevator. If God would give some people an oil well and a grain elevator, they'd be bankrupt tomorrow. Just give me a cruise that every time I go to it, you don't have to fill it up. Just make sure it's the same amount there. It's like going to that ADM, Automatic Withdrawal Machine. How would you like to go there and draw a hundred dollars out? And when you get, you only had a hundred dollars to start, you draw a hundred dollars out, when you get done, it's another hundred. And every time you went there, there was a hundred. I'd like to know how many times a day you'd be drawing out a hundred dollars.

I can see you now, you're in a world path. A hundred dollars. One step.

A hundred dollars. Hallelujah. And then make sure that it's well with you with your father. And well with you with your brother and sister. That there's nothing odd in your heart.

And you've got everything under the blood. You're forgiven everything and everybody that has done anything to you. And just as you profess the love for the Father, you love your brothers and sisters. Cause the only way that you can prove to God in the world that you're truly saved is by this shall all men know you are my disciples, my brethren.

Because you have love one for another. And we know we have passed from death out of death into life because we love the brethren. And that word is agapó in the Greek, the unselfish love that ministers to a person's need without looking for any return. That unselfish love. You see God had that unselfish love. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. You see unselfish love causes you to do something to give.

Not the love that's wanting to receive. That's why Jesus said it's more blessed to give than it is to receive because the giving shows you have the love of God. And when a brother or sister's done something wrong to you, and no matter whether you're in the right, go back and say I love you, I forgive you anyhow.

Let's get this thing under the blood and let's make everything alright. Because Jesus said that if you when you stand praying have ought against your brother and sister and you don't forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you. And like I've been saying, I want to have this motto and let it be the theme of my life. I don't care what others do to me, I'm going to do the right thing to them. God give him a good clap often.

God give him a good clap often. Fourth condition of answered prayer is you must live right and do the things that are pleasing to Him. First John 3 22, and whatsoever things we ask we receive because we keep His commandments and do that which is pleasing in His sight. We not only got to keep the commandments, and that's not only talking about the Decalogue, the Ten Commandments of Moses. How many say amen? The same Dick's publishers have also marked out not only the promises, but they have marked out the commandments.

And you're going to find there's a whole lot more than ten. You know what I mean? Under the old covenant it was love your neighbor and hate your enemy. Under the new covenant is if your enemy's hungry, feed him. Somebody said I love my neighbor, I love to kill him. But the Bible said don't be overcome by evil. Don't let the enemy overcome you by getting hate in your heart.

Because you become a murderer. I want to become a lover, not a murderer. And a lover is showing mercy.

A lover is forgiving. I'm telling you how to get your prayers answered. I get a lot of letters from all over the world saying, Brother Hardy, they list everything that they do. And then they say I'm still not getting my prayers answered. They're like Jesus said to Pharisee that went in the temple and told God everything he did. I'm not like this other sinners and he pointed to the publican next to him.

I fast twice a week. I count every seed of all the seeds and I tithe it. I'm just a good fellow. How many say amen? And then Jesus said the poor guy next to him was so full of remorse he couldn't even lift his head up and beat his chest and said, Lord, be merciful to me a sinner. Which prayer do you think God heard? That righteous fellow?

No. Said that that sinner went away justified more than this Pharisee was trying to justify himself. Telling all the good things he did and the sinner repented and God justified him.

I don't want to justify myself. I want God to justify me. God gave Israel the command, thou shall worship the Lord God and him only shall thou serve.

You know that's two things. Just worshiping God is not enough. Jesus brought that into the New Testament and said, all that cry Lord, Lord shall not enter in. But what was the rest of the verse? But he that doeth the will of my father.

You see there's two things. You worship the Lord God and him only shall thou serve. A lot of the Israelites were going into the temple worshiping God. God said like Isaiah said, you draw nigh unto me with your lips.

But they went out and they served other things. And you just don't have to bow down to an idol of stone or wood. Anything that gets between you and God is your idol.

Anything that you serve. And the biggest idol that a lot of people have is spelled S-E-L-F with capitals. Spelled backwards with an H on it, it's F-L-E-S-H. Their fleshly self. You see somebody said, well I'm not serving the devil and I'm not in the world, but you're not serving God if you're serving self. I don't think these people like me Jesus. We know we have the things that we desire of him because we keep his commandments and do those things which are pleasing in his sight. How many say amen? You know people talk about the perfect and the permissible will of God. There's only one will of God, the obedient will.

In other words, let me give you an illustration. Someone says God told me to do this, but I'm not doing it, but he's permitting me to do this. Well if God told you to do that brother, you're in disobedience. He's not permitting you to do that. They're saying he's permitting me to do that because judgment hadn't fell on them.

And they're not destroyed. That's the same reasoning as the sinner or the agnostic. You know what agnostic means?

Don't know. Or the outright atheist. And the atheist is the one that don't believe in the God. That's the same reasoning as the atheist says, if there's a God, let him strike me now. So lightning doesn't fall from heaven and God don't kill him and he says, see I told you snow God. But you know what's going to happen? One of these days he's going to wake up and know there is a God and when he wakes up to it, you know what his reason is going to be?

Man, I'm in big trouble. You're not in no permissible will. Let me give you the perfect illustration of permissible will as people believe it. Here is Balaam. You know the story, God's delivered Israel with signs, wonders, and miracles. Open up the Red Sea, delivered Israel, drowned Pharaoh.

Now they're going to go through the land, but Barak the king don't want to get them to come through. So he hunts up Balaam because he knows Balaam is a prophet of God, he is a true prophet, and knows whatever he says comes to pass. So he tried to hire him, tried to buy him the prophecy against Israel and curse him.

He said, I'm going to make you rich. And that was his weakness, the devil found it. And I don't care if you're a prophet of God or a child of God, if you don't get everything out of your heart, after a while the devil's going to find it. That's what the test is to see if there's anything in there.

And if there's anything in there that shouldn't be, it's going to come out. And you might go for a long time because Balaam was a prophet for a long time because the kings had heard of him and they knew that he was a prophet of God and whatever he said was going to happen. But he loved unrighteous gain. Sounds like a lot of prophets in this thing. And Barak says, come, curse this people. And Balaam says, now listen, I got to tell you, I'm not the source of the word, it's God. And whatever he puts in my mouth, that's what I got to say.

I'm telling you up front. How many say amen? I said, that's alright. He said, wait a minute, I got to go and see what God says. And God said to Balaam, curse these people, they're blessed.

How many say amen? But first of all, I got ahead of my story. Before he ever went to Barak, Barak sent messengers and said, come, I want you to curse these people, I'll give you money. And he told the messengers, well wait, I got to pray. And God said, don't you go. Now that was the perfect will of God, which is the only will of God.

God's perfect will is the only will, do what he says. I said, go tell your king, I can't come. King got married and sent his messengers back and says, God's only trying to rob you of a good reward.

You can get this reward and everything still can be cool. So he finally comes to the king and he said, king, I want to let you know that I can only do what God tells me to do. I said, well look at them, just look at these people.

Isn't that enough to make you curse them? So wait a minute, let me go and pray. And God reminded him, said I told you my will was not to go because they're blessed.

And I haven't changed my mind from the time that I told you the first time to now. And when God tells you to do something, he hasn't changed his mind from the time you didn't do it and go back and try to get him to do it. You see, when God said don't do something in the word, he hasn't changed his mind. No matter how much you prayed, he prayed but he prayed amiss. He said they are not cursed, they are blessed. And if you're going to let me prophesy through you that's going to come to pass, it's going to have to be a blessing.

So what happened? He looked at them because the king says, now look at them. And he looked at them and he said, I bless you Israel. Because you know what, let me talk to you people that are afraid of witches, witchcraft, and wizards. I'm not afraid of witches, witchcraft, or wizards. Behold, Jesus said in Luke 10 19, I give you power over wizards, witches, and witchcraft. Over all of the power of the devil. And people say, Brother Hardy, somebody's working a root against me.

I said, don't worry, I got the root working in me. And then he said, amen. Because he's the root and the offspring of Jesse. And let me tell you something, when God has blessed you, can nobody curse you, even a man of God can curse you. God blessed Israel. And when, because of money, Balaam wanted to curse them, he had to bless them.

How many say, amen. Because whatever God has blessed, is blessed. And it cannot be cursed. And if you're a child of God, there is no enchantment against Israel. You cannot put an enchantment against a child of God. You can buy all the roots of every tree in the world, and get you a saw factory, but it won't work.

You can pick all of the lips off of the bats you want, and eyebrows off of lizards, and stir it in the pot, and say hokey pokey, fist bones chokey, but it won't work. In fact, God told Abraham and his seed, for the blessings of Abraham are yours, I'll bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you. How many want to know how to be blessed? Bless the thing that God's blessing. Hey, when you pay your tithes and give your offerings, give it to a ministry that God's blessing is on. I'll bless them that bless you, and I'll curse them that curse you.

Honey, I believe God bless me, and as long as I walk in His Word, His blessings remain on me, and they can have novenas, and burn all of the candles they want, and say all their prayers, God's going to bless me anyhow. I'll bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you, but because Balaam didn't do the perfect will of God, he was on his way out, because the devil found out what his weakness was, and the Bible writer said don't go in the error of Balaam for unrighteous gain. And he found out a way to get God's people cursed, and the only way that God's people can be cursed is if you sin and disobey God. And this prophet, not only that, caused Israel to commit fornication, and incur the wrath of God, but he joined in fighting Israel, and died fighting his own prophecy. And I'm going to let you know, brother and sister, I'm not going to join the enemy for money, and I am not going to die on the enemy's side against the things that I have prophesied.

I am going to do his commandments, and that which is pleasing in his sight, and that is bless God's people, and war against the devil, and his demons. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus.

Amen. What an insightful message by God's servant brother Hardy, five conditions of answered prayer.
