Come celebrate back to school with us on August 18, 2018 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.  GSO (Greensboro) Event is going to be a fun day with lots of services to help anyone in the area be prepared for the new school year.  Everyone is welcome!  All items and services are free and will be offered on a First Come First Serve basis so arrive early.  So what is this all about?  I’m glad you asked…
We will be giving away 1,000 backbacks filled with some basic school supplies.  The backpacks are geared to two age groups:  K to 5th grade and 6th to 12th grade.  Offered on a first come, first serve basis, these backpacks and basic supplies are meant to send your student back to school in style and perhaps helps a little financially.
Free screening sports physicals will be offered by medical volunteers for those students entering 7th to 12th grade.  A requirement for any student athlete, these screening sports physicals will be good for a year and will mark one more thing off your to-do list.  A parent or guardian is required to be present with the student.  These will be offered during our allotted time of the event.
Free haircuts will be provided for students.  We will have at least 2 barbers and 4 hair stylists from the community providing haircuts to get your student looking good for the upcoming school year.  This will be offered on a first come, first serve basis to all interested.  Just another way of helping your student have a successful school year.
We will also have games, activities, snacks, and water during the event.  Prayer support will be available for anyone that wants to pray for their student, family, community, or self.  Let’s make the upcoming school year the best ever.  Come out and enjoy the day with us!
