What are your chains? And how could Paul say in Philippians 1:13, “My chains are in Christ”?
I’ve been absolutely fascinated with this little phrase from Paul in Philippians 1, verse 13 where he says my chains, my bonds…are in Christ. Here he goes to Rome to preach the Gospel and ends up going as a prisoner chained, in house arrest, to a Roman guard.
Things may not have seemed to turn out like he had hoped, but he says this has happened to the furtherance of the Gospel. Whatever your chains are, whatever rough stuff you’re going through, remember, God has you in that mess to spread His message! Can you say with Paul, “My chains are in Christ?” If you’re in Christ, you can say that. Trust Him today and let Him break every chain in your life.
